Adam Wainwright has been a constant for St. Louis both on and off the field since his debut in 2005. The accolades on the field are numerous, but it's his work off the field that gives us all the feels. Wainwright started Big League Impact, a charity that has raised over a million dollars since 2013 for a variety of causes through engaging fans in fantasy sports competitions with other major league athletes.
"I know a little something about southern cuisine and if I had my choice to pick a good southern experience I would head to one of these places.... "
"Southern. A Nashville-style hot chicken joint that puts a new age, "chef-fy" feel on traditional favorites like fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, deviled egg, and my personal fave, the fried bologna sandwich."
"My kids are young so they really enjoy the Magic House. My personal fave is the Planetarium at the Science Museum."
"There is no shortage of great barbecue in our town. If you're close to downtown, head to Bogart's Smokehouse in Soulard, but my all-time favorite barbecue place is Pappy's Smokehouse and my allegiance is strong there. "
"Friendly, fun, underrated."
"Close to our house, there is a local restaurant called Napoli 2. It is an Italian restaurant that does the classics very well. Service is great and the food is always consistently great."
"My best memory of Busch Stadium is closing out the 2006 World Series against the Detroit Tigers. How many guys can say they've done that??? I'm incredibly lucky and blessed"
